PUT OHIO
ON THE RIGHT TRACK
Ohio has an opportunity to move passenger rail forward through the state budget process. A passenger rail network could bring nearly $190 Million in annual benefits to Ohio.
We're asking businesses, community organizations, public agencies and institutions across Ohio to support three priorities that will help build a stronger statewide passenger rail network.
The public has spoken. According to a 2024 Ohio Department of Transportation survey, nearly 80% of Ohioans believe enhancing the state’s rail network is important or more.

OUR 3 ASKS TO OHIO LAWMAKERS
A STRONGER OHIO THROUGH PASSENGER RAIL
Fund ORDC
Increase funding for the Ohio Rail Development Commission, the state agency responsible for advancing passenger and freight rail projects.
Rejoin MIPRC
Rejoin the Midwest Interstate Passenger Rail Commission so Ohio has a seat at the table when regional passenger rail investments are discussed. SB449 is awaiting a hearing.
Build the Routes
Advance Ohio's four Corridor ID routes through available state, federal and other funding opportunities.
These future routes are in the federal Corridor Identification Program, which helps states plan and fund passenger rail. Together, they're the backbone of a statewide network connecting Ohio's cities and the towns in between.

The Cardinal (from three days a week to daily)

Lawmakers hear from rail advocates all the time. What they need to see is that Ohio's employers, schools, hospitals, local leaders and community groups want passenger rail too.
The costs and benefits are clear. We have the studies:
