GET INVOLVED: Ohio Gathering Feedback to Shape 2050 Transport Plans

Access Ohio 2050, the state’s long-range transportation plan, is beginning its second round of public feedback sessions and community members are invited to participate. Results so far show passenger rail is a priority for Ohioans, especially young ones, and as planning progresses advocates will continue to need to push to ensure plans include passenger rail.

Access Ohio 2050, the state’s long-range transportation plan, is beginning its second round of public feedback sessions and community members are invited to participate. Planning for Ohio's transportation future includes everything from roads and bridges to public transportation planning.

A recent survey showed that Ohioans want more travel options. The majority of survey respondents support a well-balanced multimodal transportation system. Younger residents (18-34) prioritize active transportation, transit, and rail improvements, while residents 35 and over value highway improvements most.

As rail continues to be a part of the conversation, it's important that advocates now show up to encourage public officials to take these survey results and include passenger rail in Ohio's transportation future planning.

Public meetings can be found here: Stakeholder and Public Meetings

  • Each meeting includes a Stakeholder Workshop from 1-3pm and a Public Open House from 4-5:30pm

For those who can't attend in person an online survey is available: Online Survey
