Behind every step of our progress, you’ll find the people who helped us get there. Thanks to donors like you, we’re excited to share that we surpassed our $5,000 goal for Giving Tuesday 2025 and reached a total donation count of…

 $5,521!

Gaining Momentum in Ohio

Ohio’s rail future is accelerating, and your donations will propel our impact in 2026 and beyond. Here are just some of the measures where these dollars will expand AAO’s advocacy and education efforts. We will:

  • Invite our passenger rail partners to showcase their work in cities across Ohio at AAO Statewide Meetings.

  • Share news and developments in the passenger rail and multimodal transportation space as they unfold.

  • Expand our local chapters and meeting opportunities for member involvement.

  • Upgrade our Tabling Kits to offer more informational flyers and marketing materials to build awareness in our communities.

  • Host events where AAO stakeholders, board members, staff, and volunteers will have the opportunity to meet with community leaders and state lawmakers to advocate and share personal anecdotes about what rail and public transit means to them.

  • Create more resources like our Advocacy Toolkit to simplify methods that support our mission.

  • Build momentum for passenger rail in Ohio by partnering with RPA to plan RailNation: Toledo in fall 2026.

Stay Connected

Now and into 2026, you can help us make our mission known across Ohio and beyond. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X. Become a subscriber to our email list. Share your involvement with your family and friends. It’s going to take all of us to push the needle for passenger rail in Ohio.

The future is now for Ohio’s rail movement; thank you for supporting it.

Our Mission

We advocate for better transit and passenger rail throughout the Midwest. Your support helps us.

Something is shifting in Ohio. For decades, passenger rail has lived in conversation, in planning documents, in long-term strategies, and in “someday” language that felt important but distant. The ideas were sound, the case was strong, but the momentum often felt just out of reach.
