CINCINNATI, OH - All Aboard Ohio will celebrate ten years of Cincinnati Streetcar service Saturday, September 12, with A Decade On Track, a public recognition event honoring the people and work behind the streetcar's first decade while looking ahead to the future of public transportation in Cincinnati.

The program will feature Cincinnati City Councilmember Evan Nolan, former Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory, and longtime streetcar advocates John Yung and John Schneider, who will reflect on the streetcar's development, its first decade of service and its impact on Cincinnati.

The Cincinnati Streetcar has connected The Banks, Downtown and Over-the-Rhine for a decade, linking residents and visitors with businesses, neighborhoods, entertainment and destinations throughout the city's urban core.

Brief remarks and recognition program featuring local officials and transportation advocates, followed by a community business crawl along the streetcar route.

Media are asked to arrive by 12:15 p.m. and assemble at the event site for the recognition program. Remarks begin at 12:30 p.m.

10 am–12:30 pm:  Guided tours of the Cincinnati Streetcar Maintenance and Operations Facility, departing every 30 minutes

12:30 pm: Recognition program and featured remarks


Following the program: Community business crawl along the streetcar route

Streetcar Maintenance and Operations Facility tours will take place near Race and Henry streets.

WHY:


The tenth anniversary marks a decade of Cincinnati Streetcar service and provides an opportunity to recognize the years of advocacy, planning and community support that helped make the system possible. The event will also highlight the streetcar's role connecting Cincinnati's urban core and the continued investment and ridership along the route.
