Connecting Universities and Rural Communities: Ohio's Growing GoBus Program
Join All Aboard Ohio on Saturday, October 10 at 10 a.m. for our October Statewide Meeting featuring Kirby Dearth, Transit Grant Coordinator with the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Kirby will present “Connecting Universities and Rural Communities: Ohio's Growing GoBus Program,” taking us inside Ohio’s state-supported intercity bus network and its role in connecting communities across the state.
We’ll learn how GoBus is funded, how ODOT developed its network of routes, and how the program connects universities, rural communities and Ohio’s larger cities. We’ll also explore how intercity bus service complements passenger rail and can help build the connections, ridership and travel habits that support a stronger statewide transportation network.
