Zoom Meeting

Ohio’s intercity bus service often flies under the radar, but it plays a critical role in connecting communities, especially in rural areas. This month, All Aboard Ohio’s statewide meeting will ask an important question: What about a statewide bus network?

About the event

Not every part of Ohio is covered by the federal Corridor ID program, and that’s especially true in Southeast Ohio, where communities like Athens face major challenges in connecting to the rest of the state.

This month, All Aboard Ohio’s statewide meeting will take a closer look at what a statewide bus network could mean for these regions and for Ohio as a whole. We’ll explore:

  • How GoBus and other intercity bus services connect rural and mid-sized communities

  • What other states are doing to integrate bus and rail

  • Opportunities to strengthen service in Southeast Ohio

  • The role buses can play in building a more connected, equitable transportation system
