Volunteers are the lifeblood of All Aboard Ohio. From leading chapter meetings, to doing research, and running social media- we're always excited to bring more people on board. Dozens of volunteers make up All Aboard Ohio's central teams and there's more getting involved every month.

Graphic Designer

Position Summary:
All Aboard Ohio is seeking a creative and passionate Volunteer Graphic Designer to support our communications, advocacy, and outreach efforts. This volunteer will help bring transportation stories to life through compelling visual content that educates the public, engages supporters, and advances passenger rail and public transportation advocacy across Ohio.
Key Responsibilities:
● Design graphics for social media, digital campaigns, email marketing, and website content
● Create promotional materials for events, advocacy campaigns, membership initiatives, and fundraising efforts
● Develop infographics, reports, presentations, and educational materials that communicate complex topics clearly and effectively
● Assist with the design of newsletters, advertisements, and print collateral
● Support branding efforts by maintaining visual consistency across AAO communications
● Collaborate with board members, staff, and volunteers on creative projects and campaigns
● Contribute ideas for visual storytelling that helps advance AAO's mission
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other graphic design software
● Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, and color theory
● Ability to translate information into engaging and accessible graphics
● Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand standards
● Interest in transportation, advocacy, public policy, communications, or nonprofit work
● Ability to work independently and manage projects within agreed-upon timelines
